Time: Sunday, August 4th, 2:30pm 2019

Location: Orange Civic Theatre

Beethoven - Violin Concerto - Soloist: Andrew Baker

Tchaikovsky - 5th Symphony

Conductor - Carlo Antonioli

The Orange Symphony Orchestra (OSO) and Colour City Chamber Orchestra (CCCO) are proud and excited to present their next major concert in the Orange Civic Centre, on Sunday 4th August at 2.30pm.

Following the success of our last 3 sold out concerts in the Orange Regional Conservatorium (ORC) auditorium, the OSO will be performing at the Civic Centre this time, in order to accommodate a larger audience.

Andrew Baker, the gifted and much loved director of the Colour City Chamber Orchestra (CCCO) will be soloist in the beautiful Beethoven Violin Concerto.

We will follow this with the fabulous 5th Symphony of Tchaikovsky.

The OSO is delighted to welcome back Conductor Carlo Antonioli, whose career continues to flourish nation-wide. He is currently working as Assistant Conductor with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, amongst others.

The success of the OSO continues to depend on the involvement of Orange’s finest classical musicians. Our talented music students are being mentored by them and introduced to inspiring and challenging Orchestral repertoire.

This year the OSO has been fortunate to secure a rare free weekend booking at the Civic Centre so we look forward to the day
when we will have our own purpose built auditorium in our new
promised Orange Regional Conservatorium, behind the library.

Tickets for Sunday 4th August are available from Ticketek or the Civic Centre.
